Designer is Honda Seiroku who is called the father of Japanese Garden. This was opened in 1929.

Height is 234m. This is the third tallest tower in Japan. We can see the Fukuoka city and Hakata Bay from the observation room which is located at a height of 123m.
You can ride an open top bus to go to Fukuoka Tower while looking at the scenery along the sea. This bus come back to Tenjin in 1 hour.
You can enjoy it in autumn and spring.

Kushida shrine is located in Nakasu Kawabata, Fukuoka city. Hakata Gion Yamakasa , carrying on a tradition over 783 years. is a rite of Kushida shrine. This festival is held from July 1st to 15th every year. You can see huge decorative float exhibited here. Three million tourists visit to see it.
Canal City Hakata is the commercial complex with a large shopping mall, restaurants, and theater.

Sugawara Michizane who is known as the god of learning is enshrined at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. At the time of New Years visit, more than 2 million people visit the shrine not only Kyusyu but from all over Japan, Ove 10 million people visit shrine every year. Kyusyu National Museum is 4th National Museum which was opened in 2005. This is the historical museum specially with Asian countries while the other three national museums are art museum. You can understand the formation of Japanese culture from Asian historical perspective. This architect was selected as one of the world’s 100 architects in this century.

②Discover the Beauty of Kumamoto Castle during Blossom Season ( Day Trip from Fukuoka)

Join me on a journey to Kumamoto, one of Japan’s three most famous castles and symbol of a resilience. This historic site endured a devastating earthquake in 2016, but the restoration of its iconic Main Tower was completed in 2021.
From late March to mid-April, castle grounds come alive with stunning Cherry Blossoms. The pink blooms against the castle’s black walls create unforgettable scene, perfect for photos and a serene spring experience.
We’ll travel from Hakata to Kumamoto by Shinkansen-just 40-minutes, very fast and comfortable ride. Upon arrival, enjoy exploring the historic grounds and soaking in the seasonable beauty.

Experience a tradional Japanese tea ceremony conducted by Omotesenke, one of Japan’s most esteemed tea schools. You can learn how to make a tea and drink. This beginner tea ceremony is held three to four times each year. This is a very good chance to experience it.

This is the special head temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect. built in 1955, 41m long,11m tall and weighs 300 tons, making it one of the largest bronze structures in the world.
Inside is the Bushari Relic Room, which houses the remains of Buddha.

Tochoji Temple
This is the first esoteric Buddhist temple in Japan that was founded by Kodo Daishi. In the Great Buddha Hall on the second floor, You can see the Fukuoka Daibutsu, which is one of the largest wooden seated statues in Japan.

Shofukuji
Zen Master Eisai introduced tea to Japan. This is the oldest Zen temple in Japan built in 1195. The 4,8m third Buddha of Amida, Shaka, Miroku which were enshrined at the temple in 2012,

Yusentei was built in 1754 as a resort of Kuroda Tsugutaka, 6th lord of the Kuroda Clan. It went through a restoration and then opened to the public as the first Chisen Kaiyu styled Japanese garden. Since then numerous visitors have been to this historical park to experience absolute serenity.
